Soccer Champs Feted Tomorrow, Tuesday Nov. 24
Parade and game video to celebrate victorious season, starting at noon
The Lady Viking Soccer Team, State Champs following their victories on Friday and Saturday, will be honored with a celebration at the High School gym at noon on Tuesday, Nov. 24.
The celebration will begin with an introduction of the players and coaches, and a video review of their victorious championship match.
Following that (at approximately 12:30 pm), the team and its fans will work their way from the school, down North Beach Road, sharing the celebration with the community in a victory parade.
Orcas Island School District Superintendent Barbara Kline said, “We planned it during lunch hour so that the community and parents could come — all are welcome.”
Victory celebrants and parade-goers are encouraged to wear Viking Blue and bring soccer balls.
